Rainforest Experience

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! 
Private transportation will be provided from the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to your hotel in downtown San Jose for your first night in Costa Rica. Check in at your hotel. Night in San Jose.

Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero
Start your day with an early pick up at your hotel to begin your adventure to Tortuguero. After a 2 hour 30 minute drive you will arrive at La Pavona Embarcadero to continue on a boat to Tortuguero. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a safari-style boat ride through the lowland jungle canals and estuaries of Tortuguero. During the 1.5-hour journey, you’ll witness a unique habitat of exotic plant and animal species, including caiman, manatee, turtles, and myriad bird species. Night in Tortuguero.

Day 3: Tortuguero
After a Caribbean breakfast overlooking the Tortuguero Canal, it’s time to explore! Start the day with a guided boat tour through the quiet canals and rivers of Tortuguero National Park. In the afternoon, stroll through the colorful town of Tortuguero. If possible, take a turtle nesting tour once the sun sets. Night in Tortuguero.

Day 4: Tortuguero - Arenal
After breakfast, you will take the boat to Pavones Embarcadero to continue your trip to La Fortuna town, home to the majestic Arenal Volcano.  Check in at your hotel. Night in La Fortuna.

Day 5: Arenal
Start your morning with a tour to the Arenal Hanging Bridges to enjoy the rainforest and its inhabitants and the beautiful views of the  mountains. Then continue on a hike to La Fortuna Waterfall which drops about 70 meters and is located at the base of the dormant Chato Volcano. Enjoy a refreshing swim. Night in Arenal.

Day 6: Arenal - Manuel Antonio
Private transportation will be provided to Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio is a popular coastal village surrounded by lush jungle and pristine white sand beaches. Check in at your hotel. Night in Manuel Antonio.

Day 7: Manuel Antonio
Morning pick up at your hotel to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park, a 3 hour guided hike in paradise, home to beautiful white sand beaches, coral reefs and abundant wildlife such us white faced and howler monkeys, toucans, two toed sloths and scarlet macaws. Back at the hotel, enjoy an afternoon with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Night in Manuel Antonio.

Day 8: Manuel Antonio - Corcovado, Peninsula de Osa
Private transportation will be provided to Peninsula de Osa. Check in at your hotel in Corcovado. This region provides an unforgettable experience. Rainforests, splendid beaches, rich vegetation and absolute seclusion have made this area the ideal retreat for visitors seeking peace and relaxation. Night in Corcovado.

Day 9: Corcovado
Today you will discover Corcovado National Park with a tour guide. This park is considered the “crown jewel” of all of the protected areas within Costa Rica and is home to some of the world’s rarest wildlife including jaguars, peccaries and tapirs. Night in Corcovado.

Day 10 - 11: Corcovado
Days in Corcovado. Days to explore the beautiful rainforest, beach and wildlife. The lodge includes a variety of onsite activities that are guided by professional bilingual naturalists such as a rainforest walk, beach walks and early birdwatching. You can also choose to go dolphin and whale watching, kayaking and snorkeling. Nights in Corcovado.

Day 12: Departure.
Enjoy a final Costa Rican breakfast and coffee on your private terrace overlooking the sparkling Pacific before departing Corcovado. Say farewell to Costa Rica during the scenic flight back to San José. Connect with your international flight.
