Tour Program (7 nights / 8 days)
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica!
Private transportation will be provided from the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to your hotel in downtown San Jose for your first night in Costa Rica. Check in at your hotel. Night in San Jose.
Day 2: San Jose - Pacuare Lodge
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to start your adventure to the Pacuare Lodge. Near the town of Siquirres, begins the rafting trip to the lodge. This area constitutes one of the most important protected areas in the region and the Pacuare River is well known for its scenic beauty and the Class III-IV rapids. Night in Pacuare Lodge.
Day 3: Pacuare Lodge
The lodge’s idyllic location, nestled between the Pacuare River and pristine rainforest, facilitates an array of outdoor options. You can choose from rafting, canyoning, canopy, birdwatching, hiking to waterfall or visit the Cabecar Indigenous family to learn about their traditional customs and beliefs.
Day 4: Pacuare Lodge - Manzanillo Beach
Around 9 a.m. you will be rafting the Pacuare River to head back to Siquirres. Once you arrive to Siquirres, private transportation will be provided to Manzanillo, Limon. Manzanillo is a Caribbean town known for the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge and the beautiful crystal blue waters great for snorkeling. Check in at your hotel. Night in Manzanillo.
Day 5: Manzanillo
Day at the beach. Night in Manzanillo.
Day 6: Manzanillo - Turrialba
Private transportation will be provided to Turrialba. Turrialba is a small town in Cartago, surrounded by rainforest and pristine rivers. Check in at your hotel. Night in Turrialba.
Day 7: Turrialba
After breakfast, take a biking tour through the grounds of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). Your guide will explain the great diversity of forest and fruit plantations found in this area: coffee, cocoa, sugar cane, citrus, plantain, bananas, macadamia, pineapple, mangosteen, mango, avocado, and many other exotic species from tropical countries all over the world.
Day 8: Turrialba - SJO
Transportation will be provided to Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) or to your next destination!
